Recently, I bought a talking pen which can read and talk something by pointing to a text or picture from a special book based on the optical image recognition technology and digital voice technology for my three years old son, he likes this talking pen very much, and immersed in the joy of learning on English and Japanese.
This is the performance of technological process, at least in learning language. From the past Walkman to the current portable smart device (eg. talking pen, tablet). However, adult guidance is still indispensable for childhood to use these devices. Therefore, is it possible to replace parents and teachers with Artificial intelligence (AI) for children education?
AI technologies are replacing humans to accomplish many dangerous or complex tasks, such as unmanned. They can easily defeat humans in certain areas depend on big data and cloud computing. While, there is still no significant development in early childhood education.
AI platform with face recognition, emotion recognition, voice recognition technology, as well as cloud computing, storage technology and intelligent big data platform can be applied in the program of children's growth education. Maybe someday, we will see such a scene: In the morning, children enter the kindergarten, the AI system recognize the children's class number and bring them into the classroom, in addition, communicate with the parents of the child who is absent. Emotional and phonetic activity recognition can analyze each child's different reactions to the early childhood education process, upgrade and develop the educational links which are most acceptable to the children; at the same time, the chess and calligraphy, singing and dancing, VR exploration and animation multimedia knowledge expression can let the children the most Quick understanding of learning; diet corresponds to physical condition, environmental atmosphere corresponding to the activity scene, parents real-time monitoring, remote command, learning upgrade, better understand the children than their parents, AI will give the children the best education, the best diet and the healthiest body. Besides, the most important thing is to let parents work with peace of mind.
